"What I know of love is to make beauty as an artist must"   (David McFall 1973)

This website is dedicated to the work of David McFall R.A.

He was one of the most versatile 20th Century sculptors,

equally proficient when direct carving in stone, modelling

uncannily characteristic portraits or producing powerfully

emotional reliefs.  He was a figurative sculptor, refusing

to compromise his style to the fashion of the day.

Interviewed in Finland in 1967 David McFall said:

"A good sculpture is a document

which must be able to speak for

itself for centuries".
